Mens Grooming Tips question: How do I get rid of bad breath for good?

by Dexter

Nate,

I don't think I have periodontal disease or anything, but it seems like if I don't have gum or anything in my mouth for a few hours I get bad, stale breath.

How can I fix this?

ANSWER:

Dexter,

I think we all have that problem.

Mouths are gross; they are dark, wet, and harbor tons of bacteria.

Now, I am in no way a dentist and not an expert on this... but here is what I do:

The obvious ways to get rid of bad breath are..

1) Make sure you're brushing AT LEAST every morning and night...

2) Floss at least every night...

One thing that has made a huge difference for me that's not as preached about as brushing is the tongue scraper.

A good tongue scraper will drastically decrease your chronic bad breath.

As far as I know, all the brushing and flossing in the world can't give you constant, 24-hour fresh breath, so just always carry mints or gum.

I really like those tiny Altoids because the tin is really small, and the mints are really small and I almost always just have one tucked inside my cheek... you don't even notice it.

But... I'm glad you're concerned with this because nothing will turn off a woman faster than bad breath... and so many people just walk around with dragon breath all day...

Always, always take care of your mouth and make sure your breath smells good.
