A lot of people these days seem to want to know how to get rid of belly fat. Its ugly, unattractive, and hard to get rid of.
To make a long story short, you need to reduce your calorie intake. Our bodies use a certain number of calories every day: if we put more than that number in, we gain weight. If we put less than that number in, we LOSE weight.
The other part of getting rid of belly fat is exercise. Exercise will help you burn more calories, and turn fat into muscle. The more of your body that is muscle, the more efficiently your body will burn the calories you consume.
The difference in the way that muscle and fat uses calories is this: Muscles burn calories just to maintain themselves, and fat just turns the calories into more fat.
The most effective program for overall fitness/fatloss/muscle-gain would be a combination of cardio, weight training, and a healthy, low-carb diet.
